For the opening of the event series Memory Care, we invite you to the current exhibition Labor 89. New Perspectives on the period of transition at the FHXB Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg Museum where Nicola Lauré al-Samarai will give an introduction. The exhibition opens up alternative feminist spaces of memory by looking at history from the perspective of actors in East and West who fought for social equality, social participation and cultural, political and sexual self-determination before and after the fall of the wall. After visiting the exhibition, we will jointly produce protest banners and signs for the International Women*s Combat Day on March 8 and actualize the demands from past struggles for the present and future.

The banners can remain in the exhibition of the FHXB Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg Museum for the Open Archive Day with contemporary witnesses on 8 March.
Please register by 2 March at: ak@district-berlin.com

Memory Care is a project by Nuray Demir and Andrea Caroline Keppler / District*School without Centre in cooperation with the FHXB Museum and the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation. Supported by the Senate Department for Culture and Europe.
