REZ* na D’EST (CUT to D’EST) will happen on Saturday March 30, 2019, 9 pm at the Belgrade Youth Center in the framework of the Martovski – Belgrade Documentary and Short Film Festival. REZ* na D’EST will present the work of the Berlin-based video art platform D’EST and its long-term commitment to capturing female and collective artistic positions that reflect the post-socialist transformation through moving images. The initiative will be presented by Ulrike Gerhardt, D’EST artistic director, and Naomi Hennig, D’EST curator and project manager. The discussion of the works will be moderated by Jelena Vesić, a Belgrade-based theoretician, who has also contributed as a curator to one of the chapters on this platform. In Belgrade visitors will have the opportunity to see a selection of works of video art by Pauline Boudry & Renate Lorenz, Marwa Arsanios, Maha Maamoun, Elske Rosenfeld, Sanja Iveković und Biro Melodramatica/The Bureau of Melodramatic Research, curated by filmmaker, video artist and cultural worker Marta Popivoda.
